Snow Baby

Nate amazes me with how much he changes in such short periods of time...since I last posted, he has gotten two teeth! We were so relieved when those pearly whites popped through because the teething process was a rough one for him. But they are here and they are sharp! I only made the mistake of letting him continue to chew on my finger once...ouch!

He is gearing up for the crawling stage too. He is starting to figure out how to get his knees under him when he is on his tummy and when he does get that far he can rock back and forth. Or if the knees aren't working then he pushes himself backwards with his arms. So, you can see him starting to put all of the pieces together and it is fascinating to watch (I realize only a new mother would say that!). Guess it's time to start thinking about babyproofing (i.e. wrap my furniture in foam bumpers and lock myself out of cabinets)! He is also holding himself up on tables and the sofa but he hasn't figured out how to pull himself up yet. So much to learn!

This past week we saw the most snow we have seen in ATL in at least 5 years. When I picked Nate up from school it was already coming down so we sat on the porch and stared for a while. He wasn't sure what to make of it...he seemed very concerned. Michael made Nate a snowball which he played with. But I think his favorite part was the fire we built...he sat in front of it and laughed and flapped his arms...the snow couldn't elicit that response! We were thisclose to having a snow day...but our beautiful snow had turned to rain overnight and was mostly melted by morning time. We are supposed to get more tonight so hopefully we can have more winter fun this weekend!

Sounds like a lot has happened since your last posting. He is so cute...turining into a "little man"!
