10 Month Catch Up

Nate has been really busy since the last time I posted, so I am not even sure where to begin...here are some highlights and a bunch of pics (more in the albums)...

1) He can stand...it seems like he has been doing this forever now but I guess it has only been a few weeks. He pulls himself up on anything he can (his favorite thing is the dishwasher) and cruises around. We got out the push toy and he took off. It didn't really require any practice, so he was probably working on this skill at school (but my rule has always been, if it happens at school it doesn't count!). He is pretty fearless (which is good and bad).

2) He went to Jack Cibula's 1st Birthday Party...hard to believe a year has gone by since we took the little boys to Gymboree classes! I didn't get a good shot of the birthday boy and Nate together so here are both of them from the party!

2) He had a visit from his Grandparents from Knoxville a few weeks ago...he had a great time catching up with them and eating out three meals in a row! He did a great job and we even had a fellow diner come over to our table Saturday night as they were leaving to compliment us on our "very well-behaved baby" (I am sure that was code for "thanks for not ruining our dinner" but we still took it as a huge compliment!).

3) He had a visit from his Granddad from Key West AND 4) went to his first Braves game...my dad "surprised" us this past weekend and came to spend Saturday with us. We were eating lunch out on Saturday after he arrived talking about what we should do on such a BEAUTIFUL spring day and he wanted to go to the baseball game. My first instinct was to worry about Nate's schedule and what gear I would need to take...but we just packed up and went without overthinking it and had a great time! I thought Nate might be overwhelmed in the ballpark but he had a ball. He loved all of the clapping (his favorite thing to do), he got to practice the "chop" (hopefully he will perfect it by football season for FSU games), he watched the blimp that circled overhead, and watched the guy with the cotton candy walk by hundreds of times (luckily he still thinks it is colorful bubbles). He attracted a lot of attention from those around us so he loved that too. He lasted the entire game and smiled the whole time. He crashed pretty hard on the way home and stayed asleep as I got him ready for bed. It was a big day!

Like I said, Nate has been busy and the next month is going to be even busier. He is at a really fun age and does something new everyday...he claps, he waves "bye bye", he is saying more "words" (including "mama" which he likes to say as he is climbing up my leg so I feel like he is starting to possibly get it!?), he loves being outside...he is a really fun little guy.

What a busy baby Nate is. He is so cute and still smiley! I wish we all lived closer so the boys could play.

Hey Erin,
What a great post! I love Nate's picture in the dishwasher. Also, we thought about taking Miller to a Braves game but just like you thought it would be overwhelming. I overthink the obstacles too...you've given me hope to try it out!!

Nate is too precious! My Mom and I loved coming by to see him last week...he really was so entertaining. It was so great to basically see him walking on his own...he is just a ball of laughs and cuteness! Can't wait to see him again soon!
