Winter Fun

Guess I bragged a little too quickly in my last post...the last month has been really busy and I finally got a minute to upload 300+ pictures from the past month today. Between work travel and Nate's busy schedule and just plain old 3rd trimester exhaustion, blogging slipped on my priority list again. But here is a brief recap of the past month...

Nate's Saturdays were busy with birthday parties for his classmates. We have played at Monkey Joe's and Gymboree and eaten lots of pizza and cupcakes (we aren't complaining!).

We met CC and Papa Steve in Chattanooga one weekend for lunch. Nate got a special treat after lunch because he went straight to the bathroom and decided he needed to go all by himself (this was only our second public bathroom experience...oddly it is very exciting!). Then we played in the park by the river to burn off some of that sugar.

Nate started sleeping in his big boy bed a few weeks ago...I was very nervous about making that transition and him staying in a big bed, but he LOVES it. It is his own little space (even though he looks so tiny in a Full bed) and he snuggles in under the covers and doesn't even think about escaping. Both his room and the nursery are still in transition, so no good pictures to share yet, but he did get his new train sheets (that he helped pick out) and I am still working on pulling the rest of the room(s) together.

We celebrated my (Thirty-something) birthday weekend by spending a day at the Fernabank to see the dinosaurs (and then Mommy and Daddy got to have a dinner/movie date that evening - it was very nice, we don't get out by ourselves enough!). Then the Super Bowl was on my actual bday so we had some friends and family over to watch the game with us. It was a great way to spend my bday. Nate sang "Happy Birthday to Mommy" over and over again - except some times he would throw in "Happy Birthday dear piggy", which was kind of confusing...and my sensitive pg hormones made me a little paranoid. :) But I am just going to assume that addition was because he had been playing with his farm set earlier....

What I have learned from this post is that Nate has had more cake and ice cream in one month than I realized. Don't worry, we feed him vegetables as well (and he actually likes them).

More Winter fun to come...including more snow fun and Valentines day...and baby updates...stay tuned!
