So, a couple of weekends ago we were in St Simons, GA for Abby's beautiful wedding. It was a great weekend at the beach and the wedding went off with out a hitch. Now the happy couple is in Hawaii for two weeks...lucky ducks.
Nate had a great time at his first wedding...he actually sat silently throughout the ceremony (in a small chapel) even with me standing up in front. After the ceremony, he made a bee-line for the photographer and literally stood in front of her waiting for her to take his picture...he basically started posing. I think she had a little crush on him because she seemed to follow him around....I can't blame her, the kid's got some charm (if I do say so myself)...there might be as many pictures of him in the wedding photos as there are of Abby!
Julie found out she was pregnant within a matter of days of Abby booking everything for the wedding....and then found out her due date was also within days of the wedding. We thought that maybe the baby would come early and she would be able to at least make it to the wedding (since the whole bridesmaid dress thing was going to be tricky)....but of course things didn't work that way. She was still with child the day of the wedding so she couldn't travel....but days later, Baby Rayne arrived! So, Mom and I re-packed the car and headed down to Ft Walton to see the little one. It was so nice holding a newborn again...she was so sweet and tiny. I really don't remember Nate being that small!?! It made me realize how much Nate had changed and grown in the last 16 months.
Congrats to my baby sisters on the exciting new additions to our family!
And here is a parting shot of Nate...this week he likes to climb into his dump truck and wait for someone to push him around the house....
